floydyWell here it is, five years have passed since the opening of APEX. While year five wasn't the spectacular miracle I had hoped it would be, it wouldn't be accurate to say it was a total flop. Sure we lost the only programmer, sure GeminiDevice went back to nothing more than a dream, sure the forums hit an all time low, so why was year five not a complete failure? Why it's because Epic Games was generous enough to release the Unreal Development Kit to the public for free. The Unreal Engine is very capable and widely proven in the industry; it offers us a platform on which we can finally build PW. Couple that with the fact we developed a basic framework for PW's story and gameplay, and all of a sudden year five doesn't seem so bad.

IGN has decided to shut down all of their free hosted sites. Unfortunately, this included Jet Force Gemini APEX... but not to worry, I have successfully moved JFG APEX to my own domain which is much faster and completely ad free. The new and permanent location for JFG APEX is http://jetforcegeminiapex.com please update your bookmarks and favorites. I have set up the old URL to redirect to this new location, but come August it will no longer exist. I have put a fair amount of time and money into this migration and would like to see a lot of activity in return.
